With the development of Kratom trade, some Kratom “strains” or denominations have become common. These strain names were created or chosen according to a wide range of factors, such as actual geography / production area, physical appearance, or estimations of grade and potency for instance. Some Kratom denominations are more accepted than others are representing actual qualitative differences, whereas some are little more than commercial sales pitches.

Here is a list of some of these denominations:

Premium Kratom
Kratom commercial grade
Bali Kratom
Enhanced Bali Kratom
Ultra Enhanced Indo (U.E.I.) Kratom
Malaysian Kratom
Red Vein Thai Kratom
Green / White Vein Thai Kratom
“Maeng Da” Kratom ( which can be roughly translated as “pimp’s Kratom”)
New Guinea Kratom
Java Kratom

Premium Kratom is stronger than commercial grade Kratom. Bali Kratom is widely sold, and one of the cheaper types of Kratom. It is said to be weaker than Thai Kratom, and with rather stimulant and euphoric properties. Thai Kratom, Maeng Da Kratom and the popular U.E.I. Kratom are said to be more potent and more sedative.

There are also other kinds of Kratom, grown and harvested in other countries of Southeast Asia, such as Malaysia – but again, the key to finding one’s way inside Kratom grades and denominations is really to trust a respectable, and well known vendor.
